On Wednesday Dawlish Town Council passed a motion calling on Teignbridge to re-think compulsory purchase (CPO) of Warren Farm.

15. Suitable Alternative Natural Green Space at Warren Farm –
To consider the following motion proposed by Councillor Martin Wrigley (Lib Dem):
‘Dawlish Town Council has no confidence in the timely delivery of the required SANGS to support the new local housing based on current Teignbridge plans to acquire Warren Farm. Therefore, Dawlish Town Council urges Teignbridge District Council to urgently re-examine the options for the optimal location or locations of SANGS relative to the housing developments and whether it would be more effective to have SANGS delivered by the developers, as usually occurs, in line with the existing (106) agreements.”
For the motion: Councillors Wrigley, Taylor, Foden, Petherick (J), Petherick (L), Tamlyn, Lowther and Almond. Against the motion: Clemens, Bloomfield, Fenne, and Fenne. Abstained: Prowse, Payne and Mayne. Could not vote: Price.
